The Location
The Resort is located along Malgund-Varawade beach within
4.0 KMs from the famous Ganpatipule Ganesh Temple on
Ganpatipule - Malgund - Warawade road. Ganpatipule is approximately 375 KMs from Mumbai and it can be
reached in a few hour's drive by road from Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Kolhapur and Goa.
The Konkan region, where Ganpatipule is located, has 720 KMs of coast line on the west
part of Maharashtra which begins soon after Mumbai, ends out and stretches upto Goa.
The coastal strip of land is bounded by mighty Sahyadri hills on the east and
the Arabian sea on the west. When one visits Ganpatipule, his vocabulary
deserts him completely. The sand is clean and the water is blue. Dense forest cover
and a landscape fringed with paddy, cocnut and mango trees attaract both Indian and
foreign tourists.
Surroundings
The Swayambhu (Self Originated) Ganpati Temple is the primary attraction at
Ganpatipule that draws thousands of pilgrims every year. The God is considered
to be the Paschim Dwardevta (Western direction God).
Malgund at a distance of 2 KMs from Ganpatipule is the birthplace of the famous
Marathi poet Keshavsut and houses the Memorial of the great poet.
Jaigad, a 17th century fort about 15 KMs from Ganpatipule offers some spectacular
views of the village and the sea.
The Karahteshwar temple near Jaigad fort and Lakshmi Keshav temple in Kolisare
is also worth a visit. Prachin Konkar is life size museum in Ganpatipule depicting
the life in yester years in Konkan.
